Shows in 2D

As I sat and watched the fireworks from Riverbend it made me think about how weird life is in general. I always have such a hard time thinking about how I am just a speck; one tiny little mind and heart beat in a sea of fleshy humans overpopulating a floating rock in the middle of a big nothing. I watched colorful explosions in the sky and even the physics of that made me feel odd. How the explosions were happening on a 3-dimensional scale, but from my point of view it looked like a flat plane with moving doodles; just a movie being projected on a giant dark navy sheet. When the finale of the show was finally done, a roar of cheers echoed throughout the valley created by the river. Thousands of people had come to see the exact thing I had just watched. And I could hear their cheers all the way across the river, which was at least a 2-3 mile gap of space. All of life is just odd. How everything ended up exactly like it is. How life changed from a few colonies of humans working together to make a home to the buzzing metropolises that now populate our small planet. It is just weird.
